The Stanislaus Community Assistance Project, is a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit agency established in 1985, which is dedicated to delivering comprehensive health and human service programs that improve the health and well-being of all underserved Stanislaus County residents.
Our goals are to prevent the spread of STD's/HEP C/HIV/AIDS in our community, ensure accessible, coordinated, and effective services for those people affected by STD's/HEP C/HIV/AIDS and other life threatening illnesses, enable them to live healthy and productive lives, to raise public awareness and understanding of STD's/HEP C/HIV/AIDS-related issues, and to provide education and information programs which promote understanding and sensitivity toward people with life threatening illnesses.
Our multi-lingual programs and services include education & prevention programs, individual client care, case management, testing, temporary shelter/housing, food assistance, client advocacy, benefit counseling, support services, community and street outreach efforts which promote harm reduction in high-risk communities, youth education and prevention programs, volunteer and support groups, awareness presentations for businesses, community organizations, and public institutions.
SCAP takes an innovative and pro-active approach to developing, implementing, and promoting effective STD's/HEP C/HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, care, education, and support programs appropriately designed for the specific conditions of Stanislaus County.
By building consensus and facilitating collaboration with local, state, and federal agencies, we help ensure informed policy development, effective advocacy, and comprehensive planning for our community's needs.
